TOUR SCHEDULE (14 DAYS)
1 DAY :
Flight from Istanbul to Van. Van Castle and Selçuklu Cemetery. View of sunset.
2 DAY :
After breakfast at hotel, departing to Akdamar Island by ferry. Picnic lunch with special Van Lake fish served. After lunch, swimming on the island.
3 DAY :
Van Hoşap Castle and Sarduri Castle II in Cavustepe, the Kingdom of Urartu and Catak Waterfall.
4 DAY :
Muradiye Waterfall, Muradiye Polateli Church, Çarpanak Island, Armenian Monastery (Vanke) Van 7 churches, monasteries Vargavank, evening hotel accomdation by the coast of Lake Van.
5 DAY :
Mahsun castle in Erciş , Erciş Fortress, Dorm cementery in Hamur. Watermill in Patnos. Passing through Tutak and Agri to arrive at Diyadin, the thermal city.
6 DAY :
Swimming in the healing water and mud baths in Diyadin, Visting a canyon, local food for diner. Camping or hotel near to the hot spring.
7 DAY :
By car to Dogubayazit. Visiting İshakpaşa palace, meteor crater. By car to 2200 m on Mount Ararat. Special local food Abdigor served for lunch. In the afternoon, hiking up to 2700m to visit nomads. Special cheese, yogurt and freshly baked hot bread made by the nomads. Hotel accomodation and dinner in Dogubayazit.
8 DAY :
From Dogubayazit to visit wedding on the highlands and traditional villages.
9 DAY :
By car to Igdir. Local Bozbaş food for lunch, Karakoyunlu city and Kervan Palace. Hotel accommodation and dinner in Igdir.
10 DAY :
By car to Tuzluca. Visiting the salt cave, via Digor to Kars, stopover at the border of Armenia and Turkey. Local food for picnic lunch. Hotel accommodation in Kars. Azeri meatball for dinner.
11 DAY :
Visiting the city of Kars. Fortress, churches, cementery and monastery in Ani. Kars Caucasian folklore show, dinner at hotel.
12 DAY :
Departing toErzurum by car, via Kagizman, Horasan, Hasan Kale Castle, thermal excursions, nomad houses, local picnic in Hasan Kale.
13 DAY :
Erzurum city tour, Çifte Minare, Yakutiye Medresesi. Special dinner with Erzurum cağ kebab.
14 DAY :
Departure flight from Erzurum to Istanbul.
